Pretty old but good advice for playing against a tight defence... Some ideas are not that new!
Jimmy Murphy’s ‘rule of thumb’ advice to the Busby Babes in the 50s - is brilliant simplicity - vs a compact defence play back to entice the opposition forward creating gaps between their lines - play square to open gaps sideways & ‘loosen them up’ while searching to pass forward
